Who We Are

Our website address is: https://vaibhavjha.in. This site is my personal portfolio and blog where I share web development projects, documentation, and insights.

Comments

When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form (name, email, and comment message), as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you have a profile picture. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture (if any) is visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images posted on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience. These last for one year so you do not need to re-enter details for future comments. When you log in (if applicable), we set cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, screen option cookies for a year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies. If you edit or publish an article, a cookie will be saved in your browser to record the post ID. This expires after one day and contains no personal data.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, code snippets). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same as if you visited that website directly. These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction, especially if you have an account with them.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, it and its metadata are kept indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. For registered users (if any), personal information is stored in their profile. Users can edit or delete their data anytime (username cannot be changed). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account or have left comments, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold, including data you provided. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This excludes data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
